A ground partner is only as good as the phone call you make at seven on a Sunday evening.
Most of what separates ground operators does not show up in a rate sheet. It shows up when a client's connection is missed, a road is washed out, or a lodge has overbooked — and someone in the destination has to fix it before your client notices. We are a small, owner-run operation in Windhoek, which means you are dealing with the person who built the itinerary rather than with a reservations queue.
We do one country. Namibia is not a line in a portfolio for us, and we will tell you honestly when a request does not work — when the driving day is too long, when the dates are wrong for the sighting the client is hoping for, or when a property is not what its photographs suggest. An agent who is told this before the booking rarely hears about it afterwards.
Your client stays your client. We do not market to travellers you introduce to us, we do not disclose your commercial terms, and we work behind your brand where you want us to.
We plan across the whole of Namibia — Etosha and the northern parks, the Namib and Sossusvlei, Damaraland and the Kaokoveld, the Skeleton Coast and Swakopmund, the Kalahari, the Waterberg, the Caprivi and Zambezi region.
Where a client wants to combine Namibia with Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe or South Africa, we arrange those extensions through established ground operators in those countries who hold the relevant local licences. We do not hold operating authority outside Namibia and we will not pretend otherwise.
Itineraries built on actual gravel-road driving times, not map distances. We will push back on a route that looks good on paper and arrives after dark.
We advise on what the client will realistically see in their window, including when the answer is “move the dates”.
First-hand knowledge of the lodges and camps we use, across price points from comfortable to high-end.
When something moves, the person resolving it is in Namibia, in the client’s time zone, and already knows the lodge.
Take the whole file or a single element — a transfer, a day excursion, or a full multi-week itinerary. Everything below is subject to availability and confirmed in writing before it is held.
Namibia itineraries designed to your client brief, delivered as a day-by-day itinerary with routing, properties, inclusions and a costed quotation you can present under your own brand.
Independent travellers, couples, honeymoons and families, travelling privately with their own vehicle and guide rather than on a set departure.
Private small-group departures for your clients — special-interest, photographic, or an agency’s own hosted group.
English-speaking Namibian guides. Other languages can be arranged with notice, subject to guide availability at the time of booking.
Hosea Kutako and Eros airports, Walvis Bay, Swakopmund, lodge airstrips and intercity legs — as part of a package or as a standalone service.
We hold, confirm, amend and reconcile accommodation across the itinerary, and propose equivalent alternatives when a property cannot take your dates.
Game drives, guided walks, Sandwich Harbour and Sossusvlei excursions, cultural and community visits, coastal cruises and scenic flights, booked with licensed local suppliers.
Internal charter and scheduled light-aircraft legs, booked on your client’s behalf with licensed Namibian air-charter operators. We are not an air operator ourselves.
A Namibian point of contact for the duration of the journey, meet-and-greet on arrival, and re-planning when weather, roads or flights change the day.
A predictable process, so you know what you are getting and when.
Send us your company details through the form below. Ours are already published — S.L.M SAFARIS CC, Namibian close corporation CC/2013/09884, NTB Tour Facilitator No. TFA01009 — and we will supply copies of the certificates for your supplier file and answer any further due-diligence questions before you send us a client.
Once we have exchanged company details, we share our net and STO rates confidentially. They are not published on this website and will not be given to your clients.
Dates, party size, budget band, travel style and anything the client particularly wants. We will tell you what is realistic before we quote.
A day-by-day itinerary and costing, usually within two business days for a standard Namibia routing and longer for complex or multi-country requests. Formatted so you can present it under your own brand.
We place provisional holds on accommodation while your client decides, subject to each property’s own release deadlines, which we will tell you at the time.
On confirmation and deposit we issue vouchers, final itinerary documents and arrival instructions, and confirm the ground contact number your client will use in Namibia.
Meet-and-greet on arrival, and a Namibian contact reachable through the journey. We keep you informed of anything material rather than letting you hear it from your client.
Commercial terms. Payment terms, deposit levels, release deadlines and cancellation conditions are set out in your partner agreement and on every quotation — they are not published here. Turnaround times above are our working targets, not contractual guarantees.
We do not publish net, STO or commissionable rates on this website, and we do not quote trade rates to travellers. Rates are released to registered trade partners only, after we have exchanged company details in both directions — which protects your margin and our relationship with every other agent we work with.
To receive our current rate sheet, complete the form below or email info@slmsafaris.com from your company domain, with your company name, country and website. If you have a live client brief, send it at the same time and we will quote it alongside.
Full company details are set out on our company details page, and we are happy to supply copies of our registration documents on request for your supplier file.
Tell us about your agency and what your clients are looking for in Namibia. We reply to every trade enquiry within one business day.
