Highlights

Big Five · Cheetah · Wild Dog · 340+ Bird Species

Namibia has one of the highest concentrations of free-roaming wildlife in Africa. This safari puts you in the middle of all of it.

Our Wildlife Safari is built around one purpose: maximum wildlife encounters with minimum compromise. We combine Etosha National Park — home to over 114 mammal species and 340 bird species — with the legendary AfriCat Foundation at Okonjima, where cheetah and leopard conservation meets extraordinary close-up wildlife access.

Every game drive is private. Your vehicle, your pace, your experience. Our expert local guides read the bush like a map — knowing where the predators rest at midday, where the elephants move at dusk, and which waterhole fills at night. You don't just see Namibia's wildlife. You understand it.

Wildlife that will stop you mid-breath.

🐘

Desert Elephants

Etosha hosts over 2,500 elephants. Watching a breeding herd move to water at sunset is a moment you never forget.

🦁

Lion & Leopard

Etosha's open plains make lion sightings more reliable than almost anywhere in Africa. Leopard are spotted regularly near rocky outcrops.

🐆

Cheetah Up Close

At Okonjima, you'll track habituated cheetah and leopard on foot with AfriCat guides — a rare privilege found nowhere else.

🦏

Black Rhino

Namibia holds the largest free-roaming black rhino population in the world. Etosha offers some of the best rhino sightings on the continent.

🦒

Giraffe & Zebra

Thousands of plains animals move across Etosha's white salt pan — giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, oryx and springbok in their thousands.

🦅

340+ Bird Species

From the iconic crimson-breasted shrike to the kori bustard — the largest flying bird in Africa — Namibia is a birder's paradise.

Seven days in the wild.

  1. 01Day

    Arrival in Windhoek

    Windhoek

Private transfer from Hosea Kutako International Airport to your Windhoek guesthouse. Evening briefing with your guide — maps, wildlife tips, and what to expect. Early night before the adventure begins.

  2. 02Day

    Okonjima — Cheetah Territory

    Windhoek → Okonjima Nature Reserve

Drive north to Okonjima, home of the AfriCat Foundation. Afternoon walking track with habituated cheetah and leopard — your guide reads the GPS collar data to find them in the bush. Evening waterhole hide as the reserve comes alive after dark.

  3. 03Day

    Into Etosha

Okonjima → Etosha National Park (South)

Enter Etosha through the Anderson Gate. Your first game drive into Africa's greatest wildlife theatre — the vast white pan shimmering in the distance, elephant herds moving through the mopane. Afternoon at the Okaukuejo waterhole, famous for nightly rhino sightings.

  4. 04Day

    Full Day in Etosha

Etosha — Central & Eastern Zones

A full day deep in the park. Morning drives along the pan edge — lion, cheetah, and wild dog territory. Midday rest at the lodge, then late afternoon back out as predators become active. Sundowners in the bush. Night drive at the floodlit waterhole — this is when Etosha truly belongs to the animals.

  5. 05Day

    Etosha East — Namutoni

    Etosha — Eastern Zone

Move east toward Namutoni and the Fischer's Pan area — known for its massive flamingo flocks and abundant plains game. Greater kudu, eland, and Damara dik-dik in the denser woodland. The eastern zone is quieter and more intimate — some of Etosha's best wildlife moments happen here.

  6. 06Day

    Waterberg Plateau

    Etosha → Waterberg Plateau Park

Drive south to the dramatic red sandstone plateau of Waterberg — a UNESCO World Heritage site and sanctuary for rare and endangered species including white rhino, sable antelope, roan antelope, and Cape buffalo. Guided plateau walk at sunset for a completely different wildlife experience.

  7. 07Day

    Return to Windhoek

    Waterberg → Windhoek

Final morning walk at Waterberg before driving south to Windhoek. Drop-off at Hosea Kutako International Airport in time for afternoon or evening flights.

When to come.

Namibia offers year-round wildlife viewing — but each season offers a distinctly different experience. Here's how to choose the window that matches what you most want to see.

May — Aug
Peak Wildlife Season

Dry, cool and spectacular. Animals concentrate at waterholes making sightings predictable and frequent. Etosha at its absolute best. Nights cold — bring a fleece.

Sep — Oct
Prime Predator Season

The hottest and driest months. Waterholes are packed — lions, cheetah and wild dog hunt daily. The most intense and dramatic wildlife experiences of the year. Book months in advance.

Nov — Apr
Green Season

Lush, dramatic, and uncrowded. Baby animals are born in this period and birding is exceptional. Some roads require 4x4 — all our vehicles are equipped. Lower rates, fewer tourists.

Year-round
Etosha Waterholes

Etosha's floodlit night waterholes operate 365 days a year — rhino, elephant, lion and hyena come in after dark every single night. No season changes this.
