No two safaris are the same.

Most safari operators sell packages. We build journeys. Tell us what excites you — the wildlife, the landscapes, the solitude, the thrill — and we design a Namibia safari that fits your life exactly as it is.

A package safari is designed for everyone. A custom safari is designed for you.

Namibia is vast. Over 825,000 square kilometres — deserts, canyons, salt pans, game reserves, coastlines and ancient rock art. No fixed itinerary can do justice to what this country offers. The right safari depends on who you are, what moves you, how fast you like to travel, and what kind of mornings you want to wake up to.

At SLM Safaris, every custom journey starts with a conversation — not a brochure. We listen first. Then we build something that reflects exactly what you came to Namibia for. Private guiding, hand-picked accommodation, flexible pacing, and the freedom to change course if something extraordinary presents itself.

That's not a package. That's a safari.

Namibia is bigger than you think.

Every destination below can be woven into your custom itinerary — alone or in combination. We know each one intimately.

Etosha National Park

Africa's most reliable game-viewing destination. Elephant, lion, rhino, cheetah and 340+ bird species around a vast white salt pan.

Sossusvlei & Namib Desert

The world's oldest desert. Towering red dunes, Dead Vlei's ghostly trees, and silence so deep it becomes a sound of its own.

Damaraland

Desert-adapted elephant and black rhino roam these ancient rocky plains. Ancient rock engravings at Twyfelfontein. Raw and completely wild.

Skeleton Coast

One of Africa's most dramatic coastlines. Shipwrecks, desert meeting ocean, massive Cape fur seal colonies, and almost no other tourists.

Fish River Canyon

The second largest canyon in the world. 550 metres deep, 160 kilometres long. The view from the rim at sunrise is something that changes you.

Caprivi Strip (Zambezi)

Namibia's greenest corner. River safaris, mokoro trips, floodplains full of buffalo and hippo. A completely different side of the country.

From idea to adventure — four steps.

  1. 01Step

    Tell Us Your Vision

No forms, no pressure. Just a conversation about what excites you — the wildlife you want to see, the pace you prefer, the kind of accommodation that feels right, and any special moments you're hoping for. Solo traveller, honeymoon couple, extended family — we've designed safaris for all of them.

  2. 02Step

    We Build Your Safari Concept

Within 24 hours we come back with a tailored concept — regions, rough route, accommodation style, activity suggestions, and estimated duration. This is a starting point, not a final answer. Everything is adjustable.

  3. 03Step

    We Refine Until It's Right

Tell us what you love and what you'd change. We adjust the route, swap lodges, add or remove days, and fine-tune every detail until the itinerary feels exactly like the safari you imagined. There's no limit to the refinements — we get it right before anything is confirmed.

  4. 04Step

    We Handle Everything

Once you're happy, we take care of all logistics — lodge bookings, park permits, internal transfers, guide briefings, and a detailed pre-departure pack. On the ground, your dedicated guide handles everything from the moment you land. You focus entirely on the experience.

Your safari, your terms.

Everything you want to know.

How far in advance should I book?

For peak season (July–October) we recommend booking 3–6 months in advance. Lodges in Etosha and popular destinations fill up early. Green season travel (November–April) is more flexible, but early planning still gets you better lodge choices.

What's the minimum group size?

There is no minimum. We design custom safaris for solo travellers, couples, families, and larger groups. Your vehicle, your guide, your pace — regardless of how many people are in your party.

Can I combine Namibia with other countries?

Absolutely. Namibia pairs beautifully with Botswana's Okavango Delta, Victoria Falls in Zambia or Zimbabwe, or Cape Town in South Africa. We handle all cross-border logistics seamlessly.

What accommodation styles are available?

We offer everything from comfortable guesthouses and tented camps to private luxury lodges. Your budget guides the options — we match the accommodation to both your preferences and what each destination offers best.

Is Namibia safe to travel?

Namibia is one of Africa's safest and most politically stable countries. It has a low population density, excellent infrastructure for a southern African destination, and welcoming local communities. Our guides are licensed, locally trained, and know every route intimately.

Tell us about your safari.

No obligation. No packages to choose from. Just tell us what excites you and we'll come back within 24 hours with a proposal built around exactly that.
